The Pupil Deprivation Grant 
The purpose of the PDG is to improve outcomes for learners eligible for free school meals (eFSM) and Looked After Children (LAC). It is intended to overcome the additional barriers that prevent learners from disadvantaged backgrounds achieving their full potential.

The Early Years Pupil Deprivation Grant

Rewriting the future sets out that no child in Wales should be disadvantaged by poverty and inequality. It supports Building a Brighter Future in highlighting the importance of early intervention and the high returns that can be achieved by investment in programmes that  target the earliest years.
