Anti Bullying
We take bullying very seriously at our school and aim to work closely with parents and pupils to ensure a safe and harmonious environment. If you have any concerns please contact your child's teacher or SLT as soon as possible and will look to finding a way forward with empathy and respect.
Staff in each department are trained to Diploma Level in Trauma Informed Approaches and the whole school staff have had trained in Trauma Informed. Part of Trauma Informed involves PACE.
PACE: Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy A trauma-informed approach to supporting children and young people
PACE is a way of thinking, feeling, communicating and behaving that aims to make children and young people feel safe. It is particularly effective in meeting the needs of children and young people who have experienced trauma. Developed by clinical psychologist, Dan Hughes, the approach focuses on building trusting relationships, emotional connections, containment and a sense of security.
